Indoor League 23rd October 2011
The first week’s matches in th KCB Shepway indoor 6-a-side league sponsored by Jim Godden saw wins in division 1 for Hawkinge and Elham Valley A, and in division 2 wins for Folkestone B and Brook. All four winning sides batting second.
In the first match of the afternoon Cheriton batted first against Hawkinge and reached 70 all out with Darren Lukehurst scoring 34 and Adam Lamberton and Terry Dunham each taking 2 wickets. Hawkinge reached their target in the 8th over (of 12) with Terry Dunham scoring 30.
In the second match Etchinghill batted first against Elham Valley A and were bowled out for 72 with Josh Marden taking 3-14, only Rob Green with 23 showing much resistence. Elham pushed on quickly to victory in the 7th over with Danny Baker and Alex Feaver both reaching 25 and
retiring.
The third match of the afternoon saw Hythe Green bat first against Folkestone B and finish on 106 all out with Hemang Patel scoring 43 and Nathan Smith taking 2-11. In reply Folkestone stuttered, with Hemang Patel taking 2-16, before being seen home by Ryan Hall (36 no) and
Dan Marsh wtih 2 overs to spare.
In the final match of the afternoon Elham Valley B batted first against Brook and were all out for 105 off the last ball of their innings with Tim Goss scoring 42 and Ian Thomas taking 2-33. Brook started well with Tony Campbell and Oz Zaman both reaching 25 and retiring and
this set their side up to win off the first ball of the 11th over. Tony Campbell scored 32 and Oz Zaman 25, Keiran Morphett took 2-22.

Cheriton 70 all out (D Lukehurst 34, A Lamberton 2-11, T Dunham 2-24) lost to Hawkinge 71-1 (T Dunham 30 ret) by 5 wickets.
Etchinghill 72 all out (R Green 23, J Marden 3-14) lost to Elham Valley A 73-0 (D Baker 26 ret, A Feaver 25 ret) by 6 wickets.
Hythe Green 106 all out (H Patel 43, N Smith 2-11) lost to Folkestone B 107-4 (R Hall 36 no, H Patel 2-16) by 2 wickets.
Elham Valley B 105 all out (T Goss 42, I Thomas 2-33) lost to Brook 109-3 (T Campbell 32 no, O Zaman 25 ret, K Morphett 2-22) by 3 wickets.
