This week’s matches in the Jim Godden sponsored KCB Shepway 6-a-side league saw none of the sides batting first scoring 100, in spite of this two of them managed to win.
In the first match of the afternoon, which was the last Division 1 match of the season, 5-man Etchinghill batted first against Selsted and were bowled out for 31, Matt Green was the pick of the bowlers with 2-12. Selsted won the match in the third over. This result confirmed that Etchinghill and New Romney would be relegated.
The second match was much more exciting. 3rd placed Folkestone B batted first against 2nd place Stowting and reached 99 all out with Bradley Goodsell scoring 32, Danny Bland taking 3-26. In reply Stowting nearly chased down the victory but were left 6 runs short. Mark Jackson was the leading scorer with 23 and Dan Marsh took 2-20.
In the third match Westbourne batted first against Hythe Green and batted slowly as two team members were very late arriving, however they reached 77 all out with Dave Clipstone scoring 33. In reply Joe Maloney (27) and Steve Cave (25) brought the Green close to victory but they fell 8 runs short after tight bowling kept them quiet. Paul Castle took 2-8.
The final match of the afternoon saw Mersham-le-Hatch bat first against Brook. They reached 82 with Tom McKellow scoring 29 and Jordan Godden 22, Matt Burch taking 2-17. Brook were given a great start when Tony Campbell struck 3 sixes in the first over and they got home in the 11th over with 25 from Matt Burch and 19 from Tony Campbell.

Etchinghill 31 all out (M Green 2-12) lost to Selsted 32-0 by 6 wickets.
Folkestone B 99 (B Goodsell 32, D Bland 3-26) beat Stowting 94-5 (M Jackson 23, C Harding 19 no, D Marsh 2-20) by 5 runs.
Westbourne 77 all out (D Clipstone 33) beat Hythe Green 69 all out (J Maloney 27, S Cave 25, P Castle 2-8) by 8 runs.
Mersham-le-Hatch 82 all out (T McKellow 29, Jordan Godden 22, M Burch 2-17) lost to Brook 83-3 (M Burch 25, A Campbell 19) by 3 wickets.
