2010/2011 Indoor Rules

The League Competition will start on Sunday 17th October at The Harvey Grammar School sports hall. The first match will commence at 2.30 pm.

Cost

The cost for each team will be £18 per match (total £126 for Div 1or £ 144 for Div 2).

The Cup and Plate competitions will be played after the League programme is completed, the cost for these will also be £18 per game. Any team not turning up for a match will be expected to pay £18.

Changes

As a result of Sibton Park B dropping out of the league there are a few changes to normal.

Cheriton/Sellindge and Selsted have been promoted to Division 1 and Hythe Green have not been relegated, a new team Brook has come into Division 2, so we have the same number of teams as last year.

Two Team Entry

For Clubs entering 2 teams, please remember you must nominate 6 players to play in your A team. These 6 may not play in the B team, but B team players may play in the A team on a maximum of 2 occasions, if they play a third time they will be deemed to be A team players only.

Folkestone may not play any players from their B team in their A team or vice-versa, as they are both in Division 1.

Promptness

Please ensure that your team is present at least 20 minutes before the due time for the match to start so they are ready to play on time.

Penalties

Penalties will apply for late starts.

Any team that is not ready to start at the due time will be deducted one over from their batting for every 3 minutes late starting. If the previous match overruns, the penalty will only apply if the team/s are not ready to play at the moment the hall becomes free.

The first two teams to play will be responsible for setting-up the hall, and should allow sufficient time for this to be done, so that the first match can start on time.

The last two teams will be responsible for clearing away at the end.

League Winners

The League will be decided on:

  1. Most matches won.
  2. Runs per over scored.
  3. Runs per over conceded.

It is expected that the League winners (if eligible) will play in the first round of the County Competition Late January/Early February.
